SNYDER ELDER LAW & ESTATE PLANNING, LLC

ABOUT MATT

I am proud to say I was born and raised in Beaver County and was a graduate of one of the final classes of Center Area High School. I attended West Virginia University and graduated with a degree in Economics before attending the University of Akron, where I received my Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration.  I am Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

My legal practice began in Northeast Ohio. After spending my first year practicing law with a general practice firm, I decided to dedicate my legal practice exclusively to the areas of elder care law and estate planning. In the following years, I worked for a law firm that focused solely on elder care law and estate planning.  This provided me the opportunity to work with families across the state of Ohio and counsel those families on the areas of general estate planning, asset protection planning, and Medicaid planning. Being able to provide families with real solutions to problems they feared were helpless, grew my passion to continue forward in this practice area.

I established many great relationships over the past several years, particularly across Northeast Ohio, but I always knew my heart would carry me back to Western Pennsylvania to share my passion for this area of law with the families who helped mold me into who I am today. I was sworn into the Pennsylvania Bar in early 2022 and decided to open my own law firm. I am fortunate enough to continue to be able to serve families from Cleveland to Youngstown, OH, as well as the Pennsylvania counties along the PA/OH border, including Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer, and Butler.

Over the course of my career, I have regularly presented educational seminars on topics related to elder care and estate planning. I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of families achieve their goals, including creating a plan to avoid probate or appoint powers of attorney, and protecting their life savings from potential long-term care expenses. I understand that families often wait to seek the guidance of an elder law attorney until they are in the midst of their greatest crises, and I recognize the importance of navigating them through those struggles. My goal is to provide families with a complete understanding of the factors to weigh in reaching decisions related to estate planning and elder care law.

My wife, Jana, and I live in Beaver Falls with our daughter Elle. I appreciate you taking the time to visit my website, and I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and your family to discuss your concerns and goals soon.
